OUR JOURNEY
At WOVE, Vero - of Mexican Heritage, Shane - of Australian/ New Zealand Heritage, realised their love to travel, and their passion for adventure while being immersed in new cultures and treasures.
And so the question was asked - how can we unite our nations in a meaningful way?
Well - As we set out along the agave roads of Mexico we found many o’reasons. One of which was heritage based master weavers - artisans fighting for survival, competing against the globe.
How can we support local artisans against global corporations?
Threatened cultures need to be remembered, there traditions are sustainable, great for the planet, and feed their families.
OUR MISSION.
Essentially, we want to keep the story going – ours and theirs. We ensure that our artisans are paid fairly which enables them continue this traditional method of production – circulated within communities and families.
Ideally, we want to assist in income generation to prevent the loss of traditional methods; as the artisans may begin to source alternative sorts of income within the world of working for bigger business.
